I went out to Jamie's Italian in Angel for a family birthday today. It was an okay place, but we got a waitress who forgot who had ordered what so when she came to tell us that they didn't have the roast I had ordered, she looked right in the face of another member of my party. Surely the usual approach if you're not sure is "Who ordered the beef ( Read more... )

We went out for the day yesterday, and had a nice lunch. On the way home, Mum wanted to look at some showhouses.

I got into town early today and there were a couple of people waiting outside Woolworths. I managed to get in first, and this old man threw a complete strop at me, and started going on about how I'd jumped the queue. I ignored him.

I went out for lunch yesterday; we went to a nice pub where I infamously chased a balloon that had blown out of our car when I was about eight and then created a fuss when I didn't catch it. Spookily, the BBC showed The Calusari at the weekend ( Read more... )

This is a great film if you've not seen it yet. I'm not too fond of Sean Connery's accent, but there were plenty of great moments (particularly with the invisible guy). I thought it ended a bit suddenly, but it was still good. 24 and Six Feet Under meanwhile are as interesting as ever; apparently, Brenda returns next week in the latter ( Read more... )
